Auf dem Weg zum ersten internationalen Plastik-Abkommen journal article Kathleen S. Feurich Zeitschrift für Europäisches Umwelt- und Planungsrecht, Volume 21 (2023), Issue 2, Page 186 - 195 Along with climate change and species extinction, plastic waste pollution is one of the greatest environmental challenges of our time. Although the problem is steadily increasing, there is still no specific international treaty on plastics. The article outlines the legal situation to date and in particular that there are numerous voluntary initiatives and soft law resolutions that explicitly address the plastic waste problem.
