On March 8th 2011, in the case of „Lesoochranárske zoskupenie VLK“ („Slovakian Brown Bear“), the European Court of Justice made forward-looking statements concerning Article 9, Paragraph 3 of the Aarhus Convention. Due to this ruling the German Bundesverwaltungsgericht interpreted the national law on September 5th 2013 in the case of „Luftreinhalteplan Darmstadt“ in a way that allows environmental organizations to litigate decisions, which may be in conflict with the envir
