Anmerkung zum Urteil des EuG vom 10.5.2016 – T-47/15

In its eagerly awaited judgment of 10 May 2016 the General Court confirms that the German law on renewable energy of 2012 (the „EEG 2012“) involved State aid. The decision is fully convincing and contains important clarifications concerning the concept of State aid. Nevertheless there are still some outstanding follow-up questions to be investigated.
