Up to now, the adaptation to climate change has not been given much attention in discussions on legal issues. This study focuses on the development of a new Climate Proofing instrument, which should be established equal to the Environmental Impact Assessment and the Strategic Environmental Assessment, as well as ways of establishing a methodology of climate change adaptation in the legal standards for overall spatial planning.
